Is there a parking or admission cost?
Don Edwards Park does not charge a parking charge. However certain events
including: high school games, OHSAA events, tournaments, collegiate games and etc.
are subject to a daily admission cost. All of our movie nights, firework events and
community events are free to the public. If you have a question regarding admission
costs for a particular event please contact us via Facebook or the director of the
tournament/event. No over night parking is permitted and Don Edwards Park is
not responsible for any damage to vehicles.
What is the parks accessibility for the elderly or handicapped?
Don Edwards Park does offer a multitude of handicap parking. During league plays and
certain dates individuals are able to drive back to our back fields. However when an
admission is charged parking is limited to the front of our facility and the back fields
can only be accessed by foot.
Do you require teams to stay at predetermined hotels for your tournaments?
Don Edwards Park has partnered with the Doubletree Downtown to offer the best
accommodations for visitors playing at our facilities. With all of our tournaments and
events we recommend booking directly through our exclusive hotel provider to ensure
the best rate and a smooth stay. The Doubletree Downtown is located at 50 N. Second
St. Newark, Ohio just minutes away from the ballpark. Non-Don Edwards Park ran
tournaments may have different “Stay to Play” requirements; please contact your
tournament director for information. To book your hotel room please call 740-322-6455
What kind of facilities are offered?
Don Edwards Park and Kiwanis Park features 9 permanently fenced, baseball diamonds
for ages 8U-collegiate level; along with two sand volleyball pits. 6 of the diamonds
have lights and the parks also offers 3 concession hubs with a full-service concession
stand with snack cart services, permanent restrooms, a kids area and multiple picnic
tables.
Can I bring in outside food/drink or a grills?
Yes, food and drink may be brought into the park. However, teams are not permitted
to have “meal spreads” in the picnic pavilions of the concession areas. Personal coolers
are permitted, as long as they are soft sided carrying coolers. We ask that you
remember we are a local ballpark that is dependent on concession sales to keep the
show going. NO HARD SIDED ROLLING COOLERS OR GRILLS OF ANY KIND WILL BE
PERMITTED INTO OUR FACILITY.
Can I bring my pets to your facility?
Yes, we love seeing your furry family members! Pets must be on a leash or under the
direct control of their owner and you must properly clean up after them. We ask that
pets are kept off of the playing areas of the fields and kids area. Check out our

How do I know if games are still on in inclement weather?
Our social media pages are the one stop location for live updates regarding the
playability of our fields and information regarding cancellations and schedule changes.
For outside tournaments please refer to your tournament director.
Is smoking or alcohol permitted?
Alcohol, smoking and tobacco products are strictly prohibited. Designated smoking
areas are available outside of the fenced complexes.
